The Randomizer Block
The Randomizer block is an amazingly strong and dynamic tool that you can use in a variety of different ways on your webpage. The manner in which the Randomizer works is by displaying content from a particular area from a page of your choosing. You can use this ability to create slide shows of content, or display recent stories from a certain section. In the sidebar you will see an example of a static randomizer, and an animated one. Beneath these you will find an example of all of the different animation types that the randomizer offers. |
Using the Randomizer When you select the Randomizer block a window will appear, at the top of this window you have the option to select a page. Once you have selected a page from the sitemap window that appears, you’ll need to choose an area on the page for the randomizer to pull content from. The randomizer will only pull content from one specific area, not the entire page. You’ll then have the choice of displaying the content in this area randomly, or in the order in which it is displayed on the page. |
Using Randomizer Animations Once you have selected the page and area you wish the Randomizer to display content from you can check the animate blocks box to have the randomizer display the content in a dynamic manner. You can adjust the display and transition time in terms of seconds, and the type of animation to be used. For reference to what the different animations look like, look at the bottom of the side bar to the right. |
