RSS Displayer HotWax has the ability to subscribe to, and display RSS feeds from external websites. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and most news websites and blogs have an RSS option. When creating a new RSS Displayer content block you will have the choice of either a pre-selected feed from a variety of different news websites, or you can manually add an RSS feed. Selecting a RSS feed from the menu
Selecting a pre-existing RSS feed is extremely easy. When you select RSS Displayer from the create new block menu, a window will appear. Simply click on the drop down menu and select one of the options present there, and press the select feed button. HotWax will automatically fill in the rest of the information and your displayer is ready to go. | |

Creating a Custom RSS Displayer If you wish to display an RSS feed from a site that is not on the list you have the ability to do so easily. Find the website’s link to their RSS feed, either by clicking the RSS icon in your navigation bar, or finding a link somewhere else on the site. (Some websites don’t utilize RSS feeds) | |

Once you find the link, it should look something like this: http://kipperstrivia.com/rss.php?cID=1 Fill it into the text fields on the RSS Displayer window. Once you have filled in all of the text fields and selected all of the options for how you wish the feed to display click Add and you will have succesffuly created a block to display the RSS feed. | |
